Quote of the week:
“When it rains, look for rainbows. When it’s dark, look for stars.”
Imagine this: You’re late for work, you can’t find your shoes, your coffeemaker isn’t working, you can’t get a cab, you missed the train, you arrive at your office and no one’s there.
Oh wait, it’s Sunday.
This is just one of those situations that will make you pull the hair out of your head but never let these things push your positivity to the curb. There’s always a good in all the bad, there’s always a silver lining, we just have to open our eyes and look for it.
I’m not saying that that’s an easy thing to do because it’s not.
It’s hard to look for it when all you want to do is lock yourself in your room, hug your pillow, and eat ice cream. Or quit your job. Or give up on that dream of yours. But when everything seems to be going wrong… close your eyes, take a deep breath, and remind yourself that it’s just a bad moment, not a bad life.
Think of how beautiful the sunrise was when you woke up early. Think of how you found your missing earring when you were looking for your shoes under your bed. Think of how refreshing that orange juice you brought to work instead of coffee. Think of the work out you were able to squeeze in when you walked to work because you couldn’t get a cab.
Choose to see the good in everything.
And trust me, it will make your life so much better.
